Who we are
PassportAlerts is operated by Monza Labs, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We provide a notification service that monitors the USPS Retail Customer Appointment Scheduler (RCAS) for passport appointment availability and alerts users when slots become available.
Information we collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to deliver our service:
Account information: When you create an account or join our waitlist, we collect your email address and ZIP code. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect your name and phone number for SMS delivery. Payment information (credit card details) is collected and processed directly by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
Usage data: We use analytics services (Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics, and PostHog) to understand how visitors use our website. This may include pages visited, time spent, referring URLs, browser type, and device information. We use cookies and similar technologies for this purpose.
Alert preferences: The locations and notification preferences you configure within the service.
How we use your information
We use your information to operate and improve PassportAlerts: delivering appointment alerts to your email or phone, processing payments and managing subscriptions, analyzing usage patterns to improve the service, sending service-related communications (e.g., account confirmations, policy updates), and responding to support requests.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Third-party services
We work with third-party service providers to process payments, deliver SMS and email notifications, host our website and database, and analyze usage trends. These providers only access the data necessary to perform their specific function and are bound by their own privacy policies.
Cookies
We use cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in), analytics (understanding how visitors use the site), and preferences (remembering your settings). You can control cookies through your browser settings or via the cookie consent banner on our site. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect the core functionality of the service.
Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes. Waitlist signups are retained until we launch in your area and you either create an account or request removal.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at privacy@passportalerts.com. If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request its deletion.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls on our infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to safeguard your information.
Children's privacy
PassportAlerts is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of PassportAlerts after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
